High-End Toys That Kids Would Surely Love
Choosing gifts for kids can be quite difficult. Whether it’s for Christmas, their birthdays, graduation, Thanksgiving or any other day when you want them to feel your love, an excursion to the mall would just be futile if you don’t know what to give him. Toys these days are very much different from what we have grown accustomed to in our youth.
Here are some suggestions of some rather high-end toys that kids would most definitely love.
* A gaming console. Many people ask if it’s wise to invest on a gaming console at this particular time. With the next generation console war looming next year, what we would purchase today might just be rendered obsolete come the same time 12 months from now. On the other hand, current gaming consoles are expected to drop their prices, and there are still some good quality games up ahead, not to mention the games that have accumulated in their existing libraries. The choice, really, is up to you. Whatever you would decide on, your kid would certainly have countless hours of fun enjoying these entertainment machines. The Sony Playstation 2 is the leader in this industry for the moment, what with its deep library of games. The Xbox 360 has just been launched and it is poised for prominence for at least 6 more years.
* Video games. If your kid already has a gaming console, then perhaps he would truly enjoy some new software for the same. There are a lot of games to choose from. The important consideration lies in determining how kid-friendly they really are. Games usually come with ESRB ratings. If the said rating state the game is suitable for kids, then such is your guarantee that the product is free from gratuitous violence and sex. Also, it would help if you would consult reviews for particular games in magazines and pertinent websites. Do this to determine if the game has good play mechanics and presentation as well.
* Radio controlled (RC) cars. RC cars are enjoying resurgence in recent months, what with the entry of world-renowned brands like Nikko and expansions from leading toy manufacturers like Mattel and Hasbro. * Robosapien 2.0. Two years ago, Robosapien amazed everybody for being the first fully functional radio controlled robot. It could dance, it could walk, and it could do a variety of small chores. * Action figures. They’re not really high-end per se, but with the sophistication in design that they achieved in recent years, action figures are no longer the simple dolls from our youth. Today, they have intricate likenesses to the characters they are representing. Comic book characters are always a hit with kids. DC Direct and Toybiz are the leading manufacturers for this genre. Cartoon characters are also well represented. Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles, Yugi-Oh, Teen Titans, and Justice League Unlimited are mass-produced lines from Mattel and Hasbro. As such, they won’t cost as much as their more “mature” cousins.
* Handheld electronics. A lot of toys fall under this category, from the traditional Gameboy Advance, to the more powerful incarnations in the form of the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP, to some learning toys that foster arithmetic, speech and memory development, to virtual pets, to instant plug-in video game machines. You would have a lot of products to choose from, and you would also have the luxury of picking items that would contribute much to the proper development of your child.
